It has become regular practice to submit a dissertation report for completion of any degree. Dissertation work is the most important for scoring a good grade for any degree, and presentation, clarity and accuracy of the work are the keys to successful dissertation editing and writing.

Editing and revision of any written document is as important as writing the document itself; you will be unable to impress readers with your paper if it hasn't been well edited.

When your dissertation is being reviewed by the marker, they will be looking for key patterns in your work and also if you have the ability to present your arguments in a clear and consistent way. You should, therefore, consider proofreading, editing and revision of your document to ensure that the research you present will be able to be read with ease.

Similar to when you read an article in a newspaper, your dissertation should be full of relevant information and edited to ensure the sections are well presented. It will also need to have important news at the start, moderate news in the middle, and news reviewing the 'stroy' towards the end of the paper.

Editing your dissertation, therefore, will be important. Your examiner will want to read a report that doesn't have any errors in, or at the very best only a few. The paper will need to be well written and formatted and all references conform to a set standard by the university. Therefore, a thorough revision of your paper is needed to ensure consistency throughout.

You should think of a situation where you have mistakenly written a word in your paper that means one thing, yet you meant it to mean another; this will not only confuse your argument, but your marker will assume that you have not proofread your paper.

If you don't review your paper thoroughly, then the overall meaning of your writing, research and argument may deteriorate and the standard of your paper will not enlighten the reader as you will have hoped; thus resulting in fewer marks and an overall lower grade.

Now, you may be wondering what steps you need to take to thoroughly edit and review your paper. The following few points will help you:

1. Editing - you should consider editing your paper well in advance of your dissertation submission deadline, as you may spot a mistake that will lead to substantial changes in your work. You should also consider editing the individual parts of your paper as you complete them.

ii. you should ensure that you have properly formatted all of the written text. Having 2 or 3 different chapters that are formatted differently may annoy your marker, so you should ensure that your style flows and is consistent.

c. Highlight the important points, by emphasizing them in your paper, spending more time on their explanation and evaluation. d. Use a proper editing tool, leaving you with more options to edit. Generally, MS Word is the optimal choice.

2. Revising - You should consider each chapter as an independent piece within your dissertation. This means that each one of these chapters will be reviewed and revised independently of one another; you should then review the whole document.

You may also find it easier to print off your work on paper, instead of reviewing it on the screen. You don't want to miss any mistakes, so your work will be easier to check.

These are a few steps that, when followed with full sincerity, will make it easier for you achieve a better grade. Finally, you should give equal time and importance to dissertation editing and review, as you have given to the actual writing of your report.
