The laptop ac adapter is always the easiest broken laptop parts. Because it receives a lot of wear around the area closest to the AC plug when the laptop is moved and when the cord is located in an area of high traffic. However, for those that do not include a strain relief on the plug, the area close to the plug tends to wear out before the adapter or the power supply. Usually we would buy a new online and throw the broken one. In fact, repairing my Acer Aspire 6930 AC Adapter just takes 12 minutes including soldering skills to complete the task, which greatly extend the lifetime of the ac adapter, also saving my money.

If it is possible, before replacement, just prepare the following tools in advance: such as Wire-stripping tool, wire-cutting tool, flat edge screw driver, Philips screw driver,

At the very beginning, remove the AC plug and the damaged area of the power cord from the Acer Aspire 5570 AC Adapter. Remove 3 inches of the outer sheath from the power cord using a wire-stripping tool, so that the three cables inside the cord are accessible. Remove a 1 inch section of plastic sheath from the outside of each individual wire inside the power cord and then twist the end of each cord so that the copper strands are tight.

Then, remove the screws on the replacement Acer Aspire 5735 AC Adapter. Insert the cord and loosen the screws on each prong of the replacement plug. Confirm that the wire copper makes good contact with the bare metal of the screw and prong.

Following, attach the black wire to the gold prong on the back of the replacement Acer Aspire 5738 AC Adapter and then secure the wire in place by tightening the screw provided. Confirm that the wire copper makes good contact with the bare metal of the screw and prong.

What’s more, attach the green wire to the green prong on the back of the replacement plug and then secure the wire in place by tightening the screw provided. Confirm that the wire copper makes good contact with the bare metal of the screw and prong.

Within several minutes, a complete new Acer Aspire 4730 AC Adapter revived and it could works as a genuine one again.
