Use These 3 SEO Tips For Increased Income From Your Blog

Do you blog to earn money from your efforts or do you blog to express your thoughts and wishes? If you want to earn money from your blog, then you need to be taking advantage of search engine traffic. Sadly, many Bloggers fail miserably at this simple step. But it doesn't have to be like this. It's pretty easy to optimize your blog post to take advantage of the free traffic that a search engine can deliver. But if you fail at doing this, don't expect to make much money for your efforts.
When done properly, search engine optimization can bring in a ton of highly targeted Internet users. These users traditionally convert better than Social Media visitors which leads to bigger paychecks. You may think it's Rocket Science to SEO your blog, but that isn't so. SEO optimizing your blog only takes 3 simple steps and anyone can learn how to do it in a short amount of time.
The 3 tips below will get you on your way to optimizing your blog in order to bring in search engine traffic that is willing to click on your ads. This will take very little time but pay you back with huge dividends.
The first thing you should do is to make sure your url's are search engine friendly if they aren't already. Let's say your blog post is Titled "Make Money With Blogs". These keywords should show up in your URL. If they are not, you're missing out on a huge SEO benefit. By including your keywords in the URL, you're telling the search engine what your blog and post are about and making it easier for them to figure this out.
All you have to do in WordPress is find the the Permalinks tab, and click the radio button along side the Custom field. Then you'll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. Immediately after the words postname, Now put another percent symbol. Now all your blog post will have SEO optimized addresses.
The next SEO step is to use keywords in the Title of your Blog. To do this with BlogSpot, you just use the keywords as the name of your blog. You can change this under the Settings tab. If you're using a blogging platform such as Wordpress, then you'll find the Setting tab on your dashboard and change the name of your blog to include your main keyword. I also like to use a Plugin called All In One SEO pack that makes using keywords throughout your blog a cinch.
Now you need to ensure that when you write a post, that you use the keywords you're trying to target in the post title. This will also show up in your URL. This helps the search engine bots figure out what your post are about. Don't confuse them by having a rambling post about nothing. If you're writing about making money online, then make sure your post has those keywords in it.
And that's all there is too it. It's not hard and these tips take little time but will provide huge returns if you're patient and build links to each of your pages. You'll also rank much higher than your competitors who do not do this.
To realize all the potential your blog has to offer once it's optimized, all you'll need to do next is build links to each optimized page using the same keywords as anchor text. This will help you gain precious rankings and don't be surprised if you find most of your blog post make it to page one with optimized Titles and Post with some targeted links pointing at those pages. This is how money is made with organic traffic. |
