Look out for those adorable mini fridges which come in eye catching colors and convenient sizes. They serve a good purpose of storage of a few select items. These compact fridges suit every type of home from a bachelor's single room apartment to a full fledged household to serve certain special needs.
People opt for a mini fridge for different reasons. Usually there is no compromise on the capacity of your regular and frequently used fridge. In fact people are always on the lookout for newer models and bigger versions. But storing ones favorite drinks and eatables in the confines of one's bedroom or even your office cubicle is indeed a welcome treat. This is facilitated by the mini versions now abundantly in demand.
The word' compact' is of utmost importance here. At the most your mini refrigerator can hold up to 1/3rd the articles stored in your standard sized fridge. Commonly you will be able to find them in sizes of 1.1 cu ft up to 3 cu ft maximum. If the size exceeds 7.75 cu ft then it can no more be termed as a 'compact fridge?
Look out for the energy star marking while shopping for your mini refrigerator. This is a guarantee for low power consumption. Due to convenient sizes these fridges can be easily transported in case of relocation.
These fridges are also used by hotels and other institutions to store thirst quenching drinks and light snacks for the convenience and pleasure of their clients and executives. They have become a part and parcel of any decent hotel room that guests take it for granted that it is included.
Some of them are priced cheap while reputed brands could cost more. Price ranges could vary from below$ 100 to several hundreds. You also need to make a decision about what you intend to store in your refrigerator. If it's only going to be a few bottles of drinks or a few fruit then a desk top one would more than suffice. On the other hand if your needs are more, then a slightly bigger version which can be placed under your desk or by your bed side on the floor can be opted for.
Some mini fridges come with attractive glass doors while others are painted in striking colors. Of course the traditional plain and soberly colored ones are readily available. Only some of them are equipped with a freezer compartment. If you are an ice cream freak, it becomes a necessity right?
