B-town makes a B-line for Cannes

The Chivas Red Carpet at Cannes film festival witness a bevy of beauties from Bollywood who will be adorning the red carpet. Apart from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has been a regular at the festival, the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Freida Pinto, Minissha Lamba will also be seen walking the red carpet this year. The latest news is that of Bollywood actress, Rani Mukerji walking the red carpet along with film maker, Karan Johar and designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Incidentally, Rani will be also be sporting a saree which will be a Sabyasachi creation.





The suave Saif Ali Khan will also make his maiden appearance at the festival. The actor who is the brand ambassador for Chivas will be seen in a Tom Furd suit. Actor Anil Kapoor will also be seen at the festival this year. Film maker Madhur Bhandarkar will also be heading for Cannes for the first time this year. Bhandarkar will be at the French Riviera for Shekhar Kapur and Ronnie Screwala’s docu-film —Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told. Delhi 6 director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has directed it. “I will be leaving on either ninth or tenth. I plan to watch four-five films at the festival,” says the acclaimed film–maker. The Bachna–Ae–Haseeno actress, Minissha Lamba is also gearing up to put her best foot forward at the festival by going in for a special workout regime and diet plan. “Since Cannes film festival is the ultimate destination for style and fashion, I am putting in my best effort to look radiant on the red carpet. I’m spending more time at the gym, besides having changed my diet intake,” says Lamba.
