Benefits of using free business classifieds

Free is very good for a small business. As the economy continues a downward spiral, these companies are looking to save money any way that they can. A lot of times, advertising is what takes the first hit, but that defeats the purpose. You can't do business if people don't know about you. This is where free business classified ads come in. You can advertise all you want on the internet and it won't cost you a penny!

When you go looking on the web and type in 'free business classified' you are going to get a response in the tens of millions. This probably equates to tens of thousands of sites that will allow you to place a free business classified ad. How do you not take advantage of that? You get to reach a national audience at no cost.

Some people will not take advantage of this because they don't believe that they need to reach this large of an audience. So you are saying that you can't use the extra business? Are you kidding me? This opens you up to a whole new facet and could be the difference in you staying afloat in a horrible economy or going out of business with the rest of the ignorant owners. You can't afford to not take advantage of this!

You have to look at free business classifieds as weapon to do business with. In essence, you are at war with every other company out there that is selling the same thing as you. This weapon must be used effectively to destroy your enemy. You will do this by targeting your audience will skillful keywords that will direct them to a place where you can tell them more information about your product. There is only so much selling that you can do in a restricted space, use it wisely.

What you are going to do is describe your business as accurately as you can in the allotted space, but you are going to save that last line or those last few characters to direct people to your social page, blog or website. Once you get them there, you can blab all you want about your product and give them a place to purchase it directly. Now you have used this weapon to its full capacity in generating web traffic to your site via a different medium. You just won the war!

Don't get too excited yet though my friend, we still have to make sure that they actually get the chance to see our ad. We have to be at the top of both the internal and external search engines. What this means is that our keywords need to be precise and to the point. There is no shame is stealing from our enemy here. You know, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. This is a perfect example of that. Steal what is working for them, improve on it and then use it to destroy them and take their business.

Now it is time to get creative with free business classified ads and you are going to do that by exploring sites and areas in the classifieds that are common to what you are selling but are completely different at the same time. Confused? The idea here is a type of cross contamination. You are selling fishing poles. You have posted everywhere you can think of, but now you are going to use keywords for rifles in your ad but when they click, low and behold, they are lead to your fishing pole site. You are going after rifle buyers here that probably also fish. If they don't who cares, they close out your site and go back to the search engine. If they do fish, you may have caught them in an impulse moment and they start exploring your site. Tell me you haven't had this happen to you. Doing this effectively just may make you the next Bill Gaites!
